							Camber is a great community resource for Wichita! Before Camber, the adolescent unit at St. Joe was our only option in town. Camber has helped our community by adding another acute resource for our children and adolescents who struggle with mental health. We need all the mental health support we can get in Wichita and Camber is a great one!

							I'm so thankful for all the staff that helped my son so very much. And the family therapy helped us as a family to learn better coping skills that have made such a more peaceful home life. Now he is able to communicate his needs clearer. He has Level 1 autism with extreme demand avoidance and he would have severe meltdowns that lasted hours multiple times per day. They included self harm like headbanging and punching himself in the head and scratching his face. Now when he is anxious and struggling he can usually bring himself out of meltdown. We are beyond blessed to have had such a great experience, as we lived 3 hours from Hays. Definitely worth the drive! And a special shout out to Grace, she is wonderful and helped ease the frustration of getting him the proper help when he returned home! I will always recommend them for anyone needing this type of specialized services!

							My child recieved treatment from this place. And all staff went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and comfortable. Part of his discharge agreement he has to have counseling sessions. They tried to set it up with one in Douglas County that denied therapy due to different counties. So they set him up with different services. By the time my son was released. His therapy sessions were arranged and made within 2 hours of him being released..they didn't make me have to call. They didn't make me wait for a call. They was very prompt with making sure all paperwork was ready and appointments were made . I appreciate everyone's time, courtesy and services. My son greeted me with such a huge smile and hug. Thank you for everything!!!!

							My 9 year old foster daughter has a long list of trauma. Last year, she was hospitalized 4 times at another hospital. She was kept a few days, given more meds and sent home. One of the meds was also found to be on her “not compatible” after getting a gene site test at camber. At the first facility, I talked to someone new everyday. Her 5th hospitalization I decided to take her to camber in KCK- we needed something else. Best decision I ever made. First morning, the doctor called and:said “the meds aren’t working” and asked to med wash her. They then did the gene site test where they found what meds work with her and what would not. They kept her almost 2 weeks. She came home and there was some change, but still not right (no meds). She went back a couple weeks later, got on new meds, and hasn’t been back for a year! Until this past weekend. We went on a cruise, her meds were stolen and we were in crisis mode. We flew back and went straight to camber due to aggression and dis regulation. She was released a few days later.. regulated. Camber has taken such care, her communicative and the SAME team everyday. Out of any child mental hospitals in the metro, I will always choose to taker her back to the place I have seen results. Thank you, Camber.. and spread the word!!

							Unfortunately all 3 of my babies got their mental health from me. 2 of them have had a stay at Cambers. I highly recommend that if your kiddo is in need this place is great. We have been to the Wichita and Kansas City locations. The therapist called me everyday and kept me informed on how she was doing. I love this place.

							This is honestly the best mental hospital I've been to! I know it's not a fun place to be, and you just wanna go home and see your friends. But a good handful of staff try to make it as tolerable as possible! I met a lot of great staff there! *cough cough* Emilia (emo rat#1 aka your favorite rats favorite rat aka stuffed animal surgeon), Emma R (emo rat#2), Bella (emo rat#3) Evaynn(rat#1 aka the scum between my toes aka emo rat#1's brother), Emma P (a ratoch *rat + roach), Reagan (my favorite nurse whose also a bht, a goofy goober, i will never to lana or taylor without think of all the times we cried together reggie.) Nessa (the teddy bear/the mom of acute), Kenzie F (one of the kindest staff), Sierra (silly goose), Cierra (yeehaw rat), Julie (my favorite rat to annoy), Courtney (my favorite roach to annoy), lesly (shes just somthing else), bre (my favorite clock [jk shes my favorite yapper]), nurse bre (shes great at talking you out of things), nurse gwen (no comment), Bria (she runs great groups!), Chloe (probably the best artist that works there!) trey (everyone's favorite aka loser at speed #1 aka Trina/Treyana), Ryan (loser at speed #2 aka the funny guy), cj (sewed up my comfort stuffy then you can count on your fingers and toes), Cindy (my favortie old lady) and many others; but my all time favorite has to be the stinkiest rattiest roach that works there.... Kennedy (she's kinda scary 😨). The food, isn't that great.... but some (most) days it's better than how I eat at home (#poorpeople). The staff have really helped me see my value, and have given me the will to keep pushing the overfilling shopping cart called life. So yeah! Out of all the cambers and mental hospitals in Kansas (that I've been to) this one is the best and treats us the most like people! I learned a lot, met a lot of cool people, and jammed to alot of weird little kid music while I was there. Overall I think this is a 5/5 star place to go to when you're on the struggle bus. Brandy, if you see this.... you aren't stinky today!! ^^ OH also I was a client who would struggle with sh and si, so I had to do strip checks behind a sheet, and nurse Marlo and Sabrina (a bht) always made me safe and comfortable to do them! (Aswell as a few others but these two deserved an honorable mention :])

							Very good experience with the staff during what was an emotional and stressful situation. The main thing that stood out was the constant communication with us. We had nurses and case managers continually keeping us updated on progress. We would make a plan for later calls at a certain time and they always hit the mark. Very much appreciated

							My son Anthony just got out wed I was scared for my baby because my kids have never been away from me that far for a week even tho they barely answered the main phone I had other numbers to call to contact my son every day except 1 day when another child ripped the phone off the wall and he also was able to call me but before camber my son was in stormont vail west which they had him on medication that wasn't working so then jdc had him on medication that didn't work but when he got to camber they got him on the right medication that works for him I gotta say camber is a good facility and the staff are very friendly and nice even when u are a Lil ruff around the edges Sarah the therapist is great and Cindy is also great thank you all for your help With my son

							No one ever wants to have to make a call like this. Camber was our last resort. It felt like our family was going to fall apart and I didn't know what else to do to help our child. It was one of the hardest decisions as a parent. The staff at Camber was amazing. They helped our child so much. I couldn't imagine the progress would have been possible without them. It's not an overnight thing, but it finally got us where we weren't taking four steps back and can actually move forward. The acute stay and family therapy aided us in being confident we can keep our child and family safe now. I would recommend them a time and time over. My child can smile and communicate again. We are so thankful for the good people at Camber!

However, Camber has done the impossible and managed to develop interesting ethics seminars. The information is amazing, the content is engaging and presenters are great.
