With nine years of mental healthcare and social work experience, Janny has a true passion for helping youth achieve mental health wellness, especially those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Janny started her career with Camber working as a therapist and coordinating with the admissions team. As a therapist, she supervised five students, empowering them with valuable real-life experience and confidence to become responsible mental health professionals. Janny is also part of the Camber’s Third-Party Software Committee.
Janny is a licensed specialist clinical social worker in Kansas. She received a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in behavioral sciences from the University of Kansas.
“I’m passionate about building connections between people and empowering individuals to be the creator of their own reality. I love working at Camber because our mission is aligned with my personal values. Helping children and families access mental health services and destigmatizing mental health care is very important to me and working at Camber helps me do that on a larger scale.” – Janny Sivilay
