Melissa Barkemeyer

Melissa Barkemeyer, APRN, has been with Camber Children’s Mental Health for four years providing evaluation and management of acute and chronic health conditions for youth in our inpatient acute and residential treatment programs. She works closely with our psychiatry team to provide care for clients with medical and psychiatric concerns as well as community providers to help coordinate ongoing care for each child as they prepare to discharge from Camber.

Prior to Camber, Melissa gained experience in case management and as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, high-risk antenatal care and newborn care. She also worked in an urgent care setting.

Melissa is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Missouri, and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baker University.
