Shannan Theno, MSN, BSN, RN
Shannan Theno is the Associate Director of Nursing Services at Camber Mental Health. In this role, she oversees all aspects of the nursing department, coordinates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellence, quality and equity in the population served, and ensures the nursing department operates safely, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and standards of nursing care.
Shannan holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Kansas City Kansas Community College, which she earned in 2010. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Governors University in 2022, receiving the WGU Excellence Award for Advancing Evidence-Based Innovation in Nursing Practice. Shannan also obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University in 2023.
With 14 years of experience in the mental health field, Shannan began her career at St. John Hospital, primarily serving as a charge nurse on the geriatric psych unit. During her time there, she received training in various nursing areas, including med-surg, ICU, skilled nursing, GI clinic, pain clinic, eye clinic, and house supervision. In 2021, she transitioned to assist with opening a geriatric behavioral health hospital and has since been in nursing leadership.
Shannan is a 2024 DAISY Award Nominee.
