KVC Partners with Thalia House to Innovate Eating Disorder Treatment

KVC Hospitals is excited to announce a new treatment collaboration with Thalia House, a supportive living environment located in Fairway, Kan. for women with an eating disorder. According to the National Eating Disorders Association, several studies have demonstrated a correlation between individuals who have had traumatic experiences who later develop eating disorders.

Thalia House works to help women successfully transition from inpatient treatment to home, with the goal of preventing relapse. “The collaboration with KVC and Thalia House provides psychiatry and medical multi-disciplinary assessment, treatment planning, quality client care and evidence-based outcomes,” said Emma Wood, LCMFT, Clinical Director of Thalia House. KVC Hospitals, a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, offers an array of innovative, trauma-informed services including acute inpatient and residential psychiatric treatment for children and adults.

“This is an exciting venture that allows for both Thalia House and KVC to use their respective expertise, while providing additional services to the target population of Thalia House in a new and innovative way,” said Ryan Speier, President of KVC Hospitals.
