KVC Wheatland Hospital Honors Staff at 4th Annual Wheaties Awards
On Saturday, January 23, KVC Wheatland Hospital celebrated staff accomplishments at the 4th Annual Wheaties Awards at the Rose Garden Banquet Hall in Hays, Kan. The Wheaties Awards started in 2013 as a way to recognize the hard work and dedication of staff members who play an enormous role in helping us achieve our mission of enriching and enhancing the quality of life for individuals, families and the community.
Every year, a committee meets to designate the award categories, then Wheatland staff members vote on the winners. “It’s really fun and it gives us the opportunity to thank our staff and tell them how much we appreciate their work,” said Audrey Lindenmeyer, Associate Director at KVC Wheatland Hospital. Staff and their families were invited to attend the event. Guests enjoyed dinner, an awards presentation, and had a blast taking selfies with a selfie stick! In addition to the awards this year, several KVC staff members volunteered to get “roasted” by their peers. Everyone was a good sport and it was a good laugh for all who attended!
